Confounding the Earl

Courting a Curious Lady: Book 2

Lady Dorothea Ansley knows she baffles her mother and annoys her father with her prattle. If it weren’t for her fellow Curious Ladies, she’s sure she would have been committed to Bedlam already. While attending a ball near the end of the season, she converses with new acquaintances, switching from one philosophical thought to another, but as usual they quickly excuse themselves, unable to reply. Near tears as she stands abandoned, she’s surprised when the Earl of Harewood comments on her last question.

Felton Enderly, Earl of Harewood lost the young lady he loved before she ever came out. Now he amuses himself by observing human behaviors. He is quite good at predicting what will occur next whether it be in parliament or the next couple to be betrothed. In fact, he’s made a small fortune at White’s Gentlemen’s Club doing just that. However, he never could have predicted Lady Dorothea’s conversation would be of any interest to him in the least. Now he’s ready for an experiment, but if he places a bet on this outcome, he could lose more than his fortune.
