Lady Dorothea Ansley knows she baffles her mother and annoys her father with her prattle. If it weren’t for her fellow Curious Ladies, she’s sure she would have been committed to Bedlam already. While attending a ball near the end of the season, she converses with new acquaintances, switching from one philosophical thought to another, but as usual they quickly excuse themselves, unable to reply. Felton Enderly, Earl of Harewood lost the young lady he loved before she ever came out. Now he amuses himself by observing human behaviors.
